Setenil de las Bodegas with only 2,675 inhabitants
is a small town in the province of Cadiz, Andalusia.
The town of Setenil de las Bodegas is located about 17 km between Ronda and Olvera in the Serranía de Ronda.
The Río Guadalporcún, today it hardly carries any water, has cut through the rocks over the centuries.
Under the washed out rock overhang, houses were built, almost cave-like.
Today there are numerous shops in these dwellings,
because since the 1960s, people here have been living from tourism.
A small town worth seeing and well visited.
Very difficult to photograph without people.
Setenil is located on the “Road of the White Villages” (Ruta de los Pueblos Blancos)
and was classified as a Conjunto histórico-artístico in 1985.
