ADAC Fuel Prices App becomes ADAC DRIVE
Route planning and navigation for Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
The ADAC Drive app has been around for some time.
With the new update (03/2025), important features have been added.
What can the app do now, even if you are not a member :
Show fuel prices
View charging stations
Show campsites/ pitches
Monitoring traffic volumes
Plan routes
For ADAC members, things are now getting really interesting:
Now with entry of the motorhome vehicle data
(Height – Length – Width – Weight)
It is good to give standard values that fit your own motorhome, e.g.:
Width: 2.10 / 2.30 / 2.50 – Length: 6 meters / 7 meters / 8 meters – Height: 2.5 meters / 3 meters – Weight: specify the maximum weight: 3.5 t … etc.
So don’t measure exactly!
7.16 meters or 3,325 kg or height 2.79 meters – the navigation devices do not know such values.
The digital ADAC Card is stored in the app.

Magic Earth – The Alternative
Magic Earth – more than just an alternative
Magic Earth released a license model in the summer of 2025 with version 9.0:
The app was offered with a low-cost subscription for 0.99 euros per year.
In December 2025, the app has new license terms:
Magic Earth can now be used free of charge with basic functions,
or you can take out a premium subscription for 14.99 euros per year .
Functions such as offline maps, CarPlay connection, real-time traffic information and advanced route planning are only available as a premium subscription.
Vehicle model inputs (RV – Length, Width & Height) also only work in the Premium license.
The motorhome data is entered in the “Trucks” section.
Small disadvantage: From then on, the system warns you about speed because it thinks you are a truck and therefore different speed limits apply.
Again, please note that when entering the dimensions – (see above in the text ADAC Drive) – use standard values !
The app is very versatile and is being developed rapidly.
And please note: Park4 Night can pass on the data for route calculation directly to Magic Earth – but the route is then first displayed for cars.
So it is mandatory to click on the car icon & select truck.
Again, I think this will come as a default setting at some point, otherwise:
