Michael Rahn was born in Augsburg.

After graduating from high school, he studied psychology, literature and theater studies in Tübingen and Munich. During his studies, he published on the radio and in literary magazines.

His first book, the story “Zu Lebzeiten”, was already a success and received the Kunstförderpreis für Literatur in Augsburg. Later, radio plays, short stories, cultural contributions for radio and television, journalistic radio features and non-fiction books were added. He is also an avid photographer.

As an editor, he has supervised well over a thousand book titles. What he has gained in experience and know-how over the course of 40 years, he now passes on to beginner writers and advanced authors in his writing seminars: www.schreibseminar-andalusien.com Andalusia with its cultural treasures and friendly climate offers the perfect ambience for new impressions and creative work.

After numerous trips around the Mediterranean, to Asia, Africa, North America and after long stays in Spain, he lives and works with his partner Evelyn, with dog and cat on the hill above Torrox – in an idyllic little oasis in the middle of the Andalusian Campo.
