Patricia, known as “CatPat”, comes from Hesse.

She chose Andalusia as her second residence, where she set up a studio.

She has always loved to paint and sew and had a small shop with a sewing studio in Michelstadt before she left for Spain.

Pat talks freely and openly about her life. How she noticed at the age of forty that something was wrong with her eyes. Countless examinations bring the diagnosis more than a year later:

Pat suffers from advanced glaucoma, an eye disease in which the optic nerve is irreversibly damaged.

Various operations followed, but did not bring the hoped-for success.

For Pat, this means that certain areas of vision are no longer perceived at all, or only to a limited extent. She can only see as if through a tunnel, has to take eye drops every four hours and limit her work to a maximum of three hours a day.

But Pat has her life under control.

She wakes up very early in the morning, her head is full of new ideas for her projects. In her study, the finished objects are piled up, which she sells mainly online. It is unbelievable what she makes with her hands and on the sewing machine with this limitation!

Her latest idea is the so-called “Memory” items.

Here, customers can have baskets, wall decorations, placemats, key chains and much more individually designed by her.
